My Habitat and Niche

Hi, my name is Milla Rowles. I'm going to tell you about my habitat! I share my habitat with my grandmother, two cats, and a dog. My habitat is a two story-tan coloured house with green awnings. It has two porches, on is enclosed with a picnic table on it. When you walk in the back porch door, my kitchen is the first thing you will see. Our kitchen is green, and it has a huge cabinet, and some smaller ones above and below the counter. It also includes beige stove, a silver sink, and a wooden table with benches. Also, of course the required refrigerator. There are three ways to exit the kitchen, not including the back porch door. Two are in a small hallway leading out of the kitchen. You can either turn right and go down into the basement, or head straight ahead into the main entrance by the front door. The third exit is directly across from the dining table, and that leads into the living room. The living includes two desks, two couches, a safe, and an entertainment center for our TV and family pictures. The walls are white and the carpet is green. Let’s head upstairs, shall we? From the main entrance and over to the left, there is a set of stairs leading to the second story. As soon as you have reached the top, you see two doors to your right, one to your left, and cabinet straight ahead. We use the cabinet to store bed sheets, towels, tissues, and soap. The first door is on the right, and that is the bathroom. The next door is over to the right, and that is my grandmother’s bedroom. The last door is over to the left, and that door leads into my bedroom. This is where I spend most of my time. I have the walls painted a light violet, old vintage pictures my dad took when he was in high-school post around my room with Christmas lights, a dresser with my Xbox 360 and TV, and a white bunk bed. Everything else we need, such as a washer, dryer, another shower/bathroom, kennel for the dog, litter boxes, is all kept in the basement. I don't really see my habitat changing anytime soon, unless we finally get around to painting the living room walls! However, I do see something changing in the future, and that is my niche. If you don't know what a niche is, it's a role someone plays in a habitat! For example, my niche is to dust and vacuum my bedroom, the bathroom, the hallway upstairs, the stairs, and the living room. I also have to do my laundry, and wash the dishes after dinner. My grandmother's niche is quiet a bit different from mine. She has to vacuum the basement and her room, scoop the cat litter, and mop the kitchen floor. She has less to do inside the house, because she does a lot more outside! She tends to the three gardens we have, trims bushes, rakes, and mows. I occasionally help with the mowing. I can see my niche changing as I get older, as I will be able to help more outside. That way we can balance the number of jobs we both have inside and out. So, we'll have similar niches, unlike me and my pets.
The pets do nothing but smell weird and make messes.
